EuSoMII ANNUAL MEETING 2019
“Medical Imaging Informatics – AI, Clinical Applications and more”
We are extremely glad to announce the Annual Meeting of EuSoMII to be held at Hospital Universitario y Politécnico de La Fe (Salòn de Actos- H Tower), Avinguda de Fernando Abril Martorell, 106, in Valencia on October 18 and 19, 2019.
Building upon the large success of the 2018 meeting in Rotterdam, we will present an innovative program for the AMI2019. During both days a combination of educational and scientific sessions will be offered. In the first half of both days lectures will be provided in the field of imaging informatics, and at the end of the second morning the attendees’ skills will be tested with an examination, which will contribute to the obtainment of a certificate in imaging informatics.
Prof. Dr. Luis Marti-Bonmati, chief of the Dept. of Medical Imaging at the La Fe Hospital, will give a keynote lecture titled ‘Imaging biomarkers and radiomics: source of big data for A.I.’
The second keynote Lecture is ‘How to bring AI to the clinic – Experience from UMC Utrecht’ by Tim Leiner.
Special guest from US is Raymond Geis (ACR, SIIM), who will premiere the main topics of the Joint Paper on Ethics of AI in Radiology – result of an international collaboration between EuSoMII, SIIM, ESR, AAPM, CAR, ACR and RSNA.
We also have organised 2 joint sessions the subspecialty societies ESNR (neuroradiology) and ESSR (musculoskeletal radiology), in which they will present their view on AI developments, both from a clinical and engineering point of view.
EuSoMII AMI19 has been officially accredited by EACCME® for 14 European CME credits (ECMEC®)
