Bio:

Fellowship trained in Abdominal and Oncologic imaging at the University Medical Center in Groningen. I have a passion for Medical Imaging Informatics and I am responsible for Quality Improvement projects at our department. Examples of projects are implementing peer feedback among radiologists, improving report turnaround times, developing systems for feedback from radiologist to technologist and feedback for imaging requests, and using business intelligence to provide feedback to radiologists regarding reporting habits.

Topic:

In October 2018 we published in European Radiology the results of a quality improvement project in a paper entitled: Improvement of radiology reporting in a clinical cancer network: impact of an optimised multidisciplinary workflow.

In this webinar I will describe the several quality elements of this project and discuss how the lessons we learned can contribute to other projects.

The topics are

– analysing workflow and stakeholders.

– developing structured request and report

– optimising PACS: labels, worklist, voice recognition reporting template, hyperlinks, flagging images.

– analysing results to make further improvements
