Young Club
Vision
The next generation of radiologists and data scientists will be indispensable for utilization of artificial intelligence (AI) in medical imaging. They will ensure sustainable and ethical healthcare in radiology, and will achieve happiness and personal fulfilment in their profession.
Is this for me?
You are a researcher, resident, radiologist or other medical imaging professional in the beginning of your career. The Young Club has lifted its age limit to accommodate dual-profile professionals.
Professionals from other imaging-centered specialties such as pathology, radiation oncology and dermatology are also more than welcome to join.
How to become a part?
First by subscribing as a ‘Young Member’ for a reduced fee. If you alreardy are an EuSoMII member < 36 years old you are automatically a Young Club member. If you are ≥ 36 years old you can email us requesting membership.
If you want to know more about how to become an active part of the Young Club community (e.g. by supporting on one of the committees as an Active Member) you can contact us by email: info@eusomii.org or on social media.
History
The EuSoMII Young Club was founded in February 2020. This committee is the most active committee of EuSoMII, in close contact despite the challenges the pandemic brought us.
Mission
By acting as an incubator for professional development and networking for radiology professionals interested in AI, the EuSoMII Young Club will prepare the next generation for responsible and effective use of AI in clinical practice, through human-machine interaction.
Why getting involved?
As a radiology resident or younger radiologist you can make the difference to your department by investing in your knowlegde and network regarding artificial intelligence and imaging informatics. Don’t forget the radiologist’s added value over the referring clinician is profound technical knowledge.
We are the generation that naturally has a connection with digital life, yet also understands previous generations. Therefore we make the ideal bridge and are indispensable for the advancement of our field. It is important that we unite in Europe, while meanwhile investing in our own professional development.
What does the EuSoMII
Young Club offer me?
- 5Accessible networking with those relevant in the field
- 5Connections with international peers to build professional relationships for the future
- 5Possibilties to become more involved as an Active Member or serve in one of our committees
- 5A platform for good quality, easy-to-use self-learning content regarding AI, informatics and related topics (WIP)
- 5A Young Club event at the Annual Meeting (only during live meetings)
- 5Young Club online activities
- 5The Young Club is in development, and the best part is; you can help shape it!

“With EuSoMII, I can personally interact and learn from names I had only previously read from the best articles in the field.”
History
European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics formed out of “EuroPACS” society, which united scientists and world experts specialized in working with DICOM images.
EuSoMII is being an Institutional member of ESR since late 2016.
EuSoMII Newsletter – is the society’s annually published scientific journal.
European Society of Medical Imaging Informatics (EuSoMII) is the professional healthcare organization that provides its members and the radiological community with up-to-date information on the latest innovations and achievements in medical imaging informatics by supporting education, research and events related to the top-tier informatics applications in radiology.
Statute
During routine reassessment of our statutes, we found that minor adjustments should be made to improve clarity in some parts of the phrasing as well as to further strengthening our vision.
Therefore EuSoMII announces a new version of the Statute, officially translated into English and approved by our Members
on JUNE, 11 – 2021.
